UNITED KINGDOM
In May 2010
a 15 year old Jehovah's Witness boy who refused an emergency blood transfusion died in the United Kingdom:
GERMANY
A four months pregnant Jehovah's Witness woman was
brought bleeding heavily to the Asklepios Clinic in the Lich area of Giessen, Hesse state. The 29
year old woman rejected blood transfusions and died killing both herself and her unborn baby.
Her
mother filed charges against the JW husband who had insisted that his wife not receive emergency transfusions
as well as the doctors who cooperated with him since the birthing woman had a Watchtower-provided No Blood
card. The office of Public Prosecuter Reinhard Hübner charged the husband and doctors with manslaughter since

Colombia in South America
In 1998 on TV in Columbia the journalist Luz Adriana Betancourth discussed deaths Jehovah's Witnesses
in Colombia including that of the youth Alfonso Cáceres Villamizar in in 1996 in the city of Bucaramanga. On
TV Alfonso's father stated that Alfonso would still be alive and had another 5 to 10 years of life except
for Watchtower's meddling. The case led Colombia's Constitutional Court to decide "The State should
do everything possible, including ordering the administration of blood transfusions, to save a minor of this age."

1945 per Watchtower.
