My daughter, Bethany, died after following
the Watchtower Society over Jehovah's Witnesses who say don't take blood even
in an emergency. This issue is one of life-and-death, not an attack on the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses, who include two surviving
daughters. It has been to save
the lives of my two surviving JW daughters, other JW kids and adults.
I will fight on. I must. This is a tragedy that has been going on
since 1945 and will continue until and unless the authorities stand up and provide remedy. One estimate is that from 1945 to today, up to 200,000 JWs, if not more, have already died.
Watchtower used to forbid vaccinations and organ transplants. They eventually felt compelled to allow use of
many parts of blood but not whole blood. However, bleeding profusely, rapidly, though, the use of just parts
of blood or blood expanders don't work fast enough, so the deaths continue.
The scope of this issue is enormous and international, but the media and
public have not been fully aware of these and other related points, hence my lawsuits to help bring change and awareness.
Regardless of how rulings go, may people become more aware of this tragedy that is worldwide!
